Google axe right hand side adverts

Search engine giants Google have axed their right hand search results meaning that pay-per-click adverts will now no longer appear on the right hand side of search listings.

The number of adverts on a page has been reduced. In the past a maximum of 11 paid ads appeared. This has been cut down to seven at most, with up to eight listings for Google Shopping ads.

As DBS General Manager, Julie Priestley explains, these changes underline the importance of proper pay-per-click campaign management.

“It is now more important than ever that paid advertising is being managed well, as competition will be even more fierce for the top spots. So, improving the quality score of ads and choosing the right keywords will be integral to ranking well.”

If you are interested in working with accredited Google Partners to maximise your pay per click campaigns please contact DBS Internet Marketing on 0800 988 8366, or visit our contact page.

"Julie's previous role was an account manager" explained DBS director David Clarke. "She had a client facing role but her title didn't really reflect the huge amount of hard work that Julie carries out with the day to day running of the business and the massive support that she gives to me as director. The promotion is well deserved for our longest serving team member. I truly appreciate Julie's hard work, integrity and loyalty."

Julie Priestley has been with DBS since 2001 and has seen the company change and grow from print based Yellow Pages marketing to web design, internet marketing and social media.
